Out of the Darkness, Into the Light: A Testimony
Marcia Montenegro is the founder and president of Christian Answers for the New Age.
Coming from a background that includes Tibetan and Zen Buddhism, the paranormal, numerology and astrology, Marcia Montenegro was very hostile to Christianity and the idea that she needed salvation.
Marcia eventually had a compulsion to go to church, a compulsion she couldn’t understand. This experience led her to leave astrology and that led to a desire to read the Bible. This reading of God’s Word was instrumental in showing her the need she had to be reconciled to God.
Marcia details why fictional literature, such as the Harry Potter books, can have a great emotional impact on people, particularly youth. Spell casting, making potions and other occult practices are part of these books. Marcia’s background in both the occult and her new life in Christ allow her to speak authoritatively about these activities and why they represent Satan’s dangerous realm of darkness.
