Modern day activism, occultic spirituality and idolatry are what today’s so called biblical movies are made of. Is it all part of the last days deception? See these reviews about the new Noah and Son of God productions…

The Noah movie:

The Noah Movie Deception and the Last Days
By: Joe Schimmel

Did you know, according to Hollywood, that the main reason God destroyed the ancient world with a flood was because of a lack of environmental activism and overpopulation? Did you know that Noah was a liberal eco-terrorist and the world’s “first environmentalist”? Did you know that Noah was really a callous, dark person? Did you know that Noah was a drunken, axe-wielding murderer? Did you know that Noah threatened to kill his eldest son’s wife and her unborn daughter, because he didn’t want the earth to be repopulated? Did you know that Noah’s old pal Methuselah (really old pal) was a witch doctor who guided Noah spiritually? Did you know that Noah enlisted the help of Satan’s fallen angels to protect him while building the ark?

The Son of God movie:

The Son of God film is similar to other religious films such as Mel Gibson’s The Passion of the Christ. In both films, the producers dishonored Christ because He was not presented as He is in Scripture. The only true testimony of Christ is found in the infallible, inspired, and supremely authoritative Word of God and we need no other testimony. The Son of God film is a mockery of Christ and it was made by unbelievers who do not know Him. They portray a false christ, a christ of their own imaginations which is idolatry. They mock God by trifling with the true Christ and, in doing so, deceive and delude their audiences. It is a tragedy that Christians are praising this film as biblical and, at the same time, encouraging others to see it. They say it has a clear presentation of the Gospel. Yet, the “Jesus” in the film never mentions the justice of God or the penalty of sin, Nor is there any mention of the necessity of the new birth or repentance towards God and faith in Christ. The lack of discernment in the professing church is shocking!

Sweden’s Pentecostal Megapastor Converts to Catholicism
Ulf Ekman stuns his Word of Life megachurch in Sunday sermon: He’s crossing the Tiber.
March 10, 2014

The founder of a 3,300-member megachurch in one of Sweden’s largest cities announced yesterday [Sunday, March 9] his decision to leave his charismatic congregation and join the Roman Catholic Church.
Ulf Ekman, who introduced Sweden to the prosperity-emphasizing Word of Faith movement when he founded Word of Life Ministries and Word of Life Church, had stepped down from the pastorate at the Uppsala church last spring.
“I have come to realize that the movement I for the last 30 years have represented, despite successes and much good that has occurred on various mission fields, is part of the ongoing Protestant fragmentation of Christendom,” Ekman wrote in an op-ed for Swedish newspaper Daegens Nyheter.
In joining the Catholic church, Ekman, founder of Scandinavia’s largest Bible school, said he plans to pursue unity among Christian movements and denominations. Meanwhile, Word of Life Church announced that it would hold a special meeting for parishioners on Monday.

Interfaith Exorcisms

“If Satan also is divided against himself, how will his kingdom stand?” Luke 11:18

At Weekly Exorcisms, Egypt’s Muslims and Christians Unite Against the Demons
Cairo’s best-known exorcist may be Christian, but his weekly exorcisms provide an unusual space for interfaith cooperation

The demon that had possessed the elderly Muslim woman was so strong that even an Imam couldn’t get rid of it. So her family opted for a priest. “My mother is possessed by a jinn,” the woman’s daughter said, by way of explaining why she and her Muslim family had decided to attend a recent Thursday night mass last month at Cairo’s St. Sama’an Cathedral. Her mother, who was slumped over a nearby bench, gave no indication of hearing anything. In a few hours she would be yipping and howling along with dozens of other women similarly possessed, but for the moment she just stared into the middle distance and muttered softly to herself…

What is the common bond for unity of all the religions of the world? Why is it that all over north America, Roman Catholic priests are being invited into evangelical churches. Does the Vatican have a strategy behind this unity? Are the errors of a false gospel being covered with a thin venier of truth? Are the ‘lost brethren’ being won back to the holy mother church of Rome? Can evangelicals have unity with Catholics when they are divided on the essentials of the gospel? What is the fertile ground for such deception? Is truth being suppressed for the sake of unity? What is our response to false teachers according to the Bible?

Mike Gendron answers these questions, and more, here:

Father Thomas Ryan is a catholic priest who directs the North American Office for Ecumenical and Interfaith Relations in Washington DC for his community, the Paulist Fathers.[1] He also coordinates ecumenical and inter-religious relations for the paulist community in Canada. A certified Kripalu yoga teacher, one of the sacred practices he teaches is YOGA PRAYER: AN EMBODIED CHRISTIAN PRACTICE.[2] Last fall Fr Thomas Ryan wrote several guest blogs for ‘Shalem Institute’s Living Contemplatively’[3].

This week Father Thomas Ryan will be speaking with Dr. Gordon Smith, President of Ambrose University College and Seminary, in Calgary, Alberta (the seminary of Christian and Missionary Alliance and The Church of the Nazarene). Together they will be leading “Catholics and Evangelicals in God’s Mission—Together,” which is an opportunity to…

“…come together to talk about Christian unity and mission. Church unity is a global issue that matters: Jesus prayed in the closing hours of his life for the unity of his followers, and the church’s vocation is to be a sign in our world of God’s reconciling power. The truth is that Evangelicals and Catholics share much more in common than not.”[4]

This comes as no surprise to those who have been watching the muddy streams of religion converge. Indeed, a picture says a thousand words.[5]
