Open Letter To Evangelical and Protestant Pastors Worldwide – Now is the Day to Turn Back to God’s Word

May 31, 2011

From: Roger Oakland, Understand The Times

The following letter is to all Bible-believing pastors throughout the world who have been or are being influenced by current trends that are attacking the Word of God through the postmodern humanistic mystical belief system. I have witnessed this deception firsthand on a worldwide basis but am most familiar with what has been happening in the two fellowships I have been part of for the past thirty years – one in Canada and one based in southern California.

It is with a heavy heart I write this open letter to those who consider themselves evangelical or Protestant pastors. While my desire is to do this respectfully and with the love of the Lord, I am compelled with a strong sense of responsibility to write this warning.

The fact is we are living in a time in history where there is great spiritual apostasy (a falling away), and sadly, many pastors don’t even realize it is happening. Others realize it but don’t know what to do about it, while still others see it but promote it anyway. The purpose of this letter is to shine light on the darkness that has crept into so many churches today.

Scientist says he is not afraid of death as he prepares to tackle the question: ‘Why are we here?’

Stephen Hawking has once again braved the anger of the religious community after saying heaven is a “fairytale for people who are afraid of the dark”.

In an interview with the Guardian today, the eminent cosmologist, who was diagnosed with motor neurone disease at the age of 21, says he is not afraid of dying, having lived with the prospect of an early death for 49 years.

“I regard the brain as a computer which will stop working when its components fail,” he says. “There is no heaven or afterlife for broken down computers; that is a fairy story for people afraid of the dark.”

Purpose Driven dismantling of Christianity, Part 2
by Marsha West

A person could choke to death on the Syncretism Stew so-called Christians have cooked up. This swill contains the worst abominations imaginable. Presbyterian, Lutheran, Baptist, Methodist and Episcopalian churches are rife with humanism, radical feminist theology, Darwinian evolution, eastern religious practices, neo-pagan goddess worship, earth spiritualism, Shamanism and Native American spirituality.

As if all this weren’t bad enough, the swill includes Jungian psychology! Carl Jung was a well-known occultist who channeled a demon. And speaking of demons, the demonically inspired Twelve-step program was “borrowed” from Alcoholics Anonymous and “Christianized.” Now thousands of churches offer “recovery” programs to help people overcome various addictions. Granted, some recovery programs are based on solid biblical principles and can be helpful. But programs that arise out of the occult are harmful! (For more on Carl Jung and the Twelve-step program, go to Recommended Reading)

One particularly bad batch of Syncretism Stew has left Bible believing Christians with a severe case of heartburn….

Changing Science, Changing Mind

By Sarah Leslie

“A new world, as the mystics have always said, is a new mind.” –Marilyn Ferguson, The Aquarian Conspiracy[1]

“…The core of the current challenge to the scientific worldview can be taken to be ‘consciousness,’ which has come to be a code word for a wide range of human experience, including conscious awareness or subjectivity, intentionality, selective attention, intuition, creativity, relationship of mind to healing, spiritual sensibility, and a range of anomalous experience and phenomena.” –Willis Harman [2]

From the start, healthcare was part of the New Age vision. This may surprise people who think that today’s healthcare reform is just a secular political agenda. It was actually intended to be the chief conduit for global mind change. To New Age “Aquarians,” the transmission of healthcare was viewed as a channel in an occult sense, a pathway to communicate a New Age worldview. To pull off this massive shift would necessitate a transformation from a scientific to a mystical paradigm. Medicine needed to become holistic with an active spiritual component: the New Age/New Spirituality.

Man’s Quest to Become God: The Newest Plan

by Heidi Swander
February 2, 2011

Warning: What you are about to read sounds like a new spin-off episode of Star Trek, but it is not. It is really happening in real time with real people, and it will very likely have a tremendous impact on the future of our world and on the seven-year Tribulation period that is fast approaching.

Our subject is Transhumanism: The development of the post-human or neo-human. In an article in his quarterly publication, “Forcing Change,” Carl Teichrib, long-time researcher and writer on globalization, explains, “Based on the premise that evolution is true, Transhumanism looks to shape the human species through the direct application of science . . . By employing technology we can take hold of the evolutionary process and change it as we desire, thus becoming masters of our future.”

According to Teichrib, the Mormon Transhumanist Association (MTA) lists such “benefits” of this pseudo-science as highly advanced intellectual capabilities; bodies immune to disease and aging; communication without speech or visual aids and en masse; and superhuman strength and agility, to name a few. The means to this end include DNA manipulation, brain-computer interfacing, and injections of nanobot technology to manipulate human tissue. Teichrib warns that such ideas are “grounded in theoretical research and present-day realities.” He says that, “Brain interfacing and mind implants, along with nanotechnology, are no longer the stuff of science fiction. Much theoretical work has been done, experimentation is ongoing, and major breakthroughs have occurred.”

Even though we saw the signs, we are stunned to observe what is unfolding. After reading the following first hand account, we now realize that the water beneath the purpose driven bridge has become clearly muddier and far more toxic than any of us imagined. The pied piper is quickly leading his sick and thirsty sheep to take a drink at the Saddleback swamp, right beneath the Agenda 21 Global Village sign.

A Visit to Rick Warren’s Health Seminar – The Unfolding of a Global New Age Plan

“Saturday Jan. 15th, 2011 will go down in the history books as the day Saddleback Church was sold a bill of goods. The masses had come out in droves for answers to their weight loss difficulties & health problems, but unbeknownst to them, they were being given a prescription for restructuring society & population control . . . ‘Saddleback community’ would be an example of “sustainable living” and would set the course to “change this world” … and the crowd went wild!”

Ponderings from Patmos

I first arrived to Saddleback’s campus only to be told that “all parking lots were full.” I drove across the street to see if there were any spots available in the business lots, and they were full too. I ended up parking in a housing tract and walked a mile or two back to Saddleback’s campus. As I arrived, I overheard a parking lot attendant say they estimated about 6,000 people had come to the seminar.

I was a little late, so I was grateful to my nephew who went online and began to relay what was being said in the opening comments, as I didn’t want to miss what was to be the foundation of the talks that day. I was a little taken aback when my nephew told me the first speaker, Dr. Amen, made reference to the Egyptian pyramids and how they were built upon an “idea,” and if man could build something like that all those thousands of years ago, what could he do today if he put his mind to it? I found that to be somewhat disturbing, as the pyramids, no matter how impressive they were, represent the ancient pagan religions which got their start in Babylon when Nimrod gathered men (the community) together to commit idolatry by building a tower to honor themselves as gods (Gen. Ch. 11). [1] And yet here it was, the analogy that was chosen to illustrate this new “idea” Saddleback would launch their 52 week program with. No matter what Dr. Amen’s intent was, I believe the analogy was appropriate, and the subtle message is telling…”MAN CAN DO ANYTHING HE PUTS HIS MIND TO.” Sound familiar? (Read Gen. 3:4-5). [2]
