Wherever evidence rises to the surface that power has bred corruption, a sordid story is always buried somewhere beneath the mud. A year after Chuck Smith passed away, it appears that things have gone amuck in the ministry he left behind. Has ecumenism, power and abuse stained the Calvary Chapel movement that began with one faithful servant? Has the writing been on the wall? See the following links. . . they are not posted here to spread gossip, but rather to call concerned Christians to prayer.

“. . . at the August 15-17 2014 gathering called “Three Rivers Festival of Hope” in Pittsburgh, PA, Franklin Graham (who led and organized the event) brought in Catholic Bishop David Zubik to give the opening prayer on stage with the large audience. During the bishop’s prayer, he acknowledged his belief that Protestants and Catholics are all part of the same church. While Graham’s public stand against homosexual marriage and his work to help the poor and needy is commendable, his giving a thumbs up to Roman Catholicism is moving the church closer and closer to complete apostasy. While we know that Graham’s father, Billy Graham, allowed Catholic counselors at his own crusade meetings (which sadly set a precedent), it’s a big jump to give a Catholic priest the platform at an evangelical event to lead in an ecumenical prayer that puts Catholicism on par with Protestant Christianity.”

Pope Francis Meets US Televangelists, and the First-Ever ‘Papal High-Five’ Follows

What does it take to produce the first-ever papal high-five? A meeting with American televangelists, apparently.

The gesture came during a three-hour meeting of Pope Francis and Texas televangelists Kenneth Copeland and James Robison, just weeks after the pontiff met with televangelist Joel Osteen and other religious leaders. At the June 24 meeting, Robison said he was so moved by Pope Francis’ message of the gospel that he asked the translator to ask Francis for a high-five. The pope obliged, raised his arm and the two men smacked hands.

Unity In Diversity

On June 24, 2014, Saint Jean Baptiste Day, annually celebrated in Canada we also celebrate what took place at Palazzo Santa Marta, Vatican City where invited guests gathered at Pope Francis’s private residence. Guest include John and Carol Arnott (Founders of Catch The Fire), Kenneth Copeland (Founder of KCM Ministries), James Robison (Founder of Life Outreach Int.), Geoff Tunnicliffe (Head of Worldwide Evangelical Alliance), and Tony Palmer (Bishop & Int. Ecumenical Officer of the Communion Evangelical Episcopal Churches). These ministries met for a cordial gathering and lunch to begin a friendly relationship that could have a far reaching impact.

This initiative by Pope Francis is a further reaching out to the Evangelical world after his cell phone message recorded earlier this year. This time it is followed up by bringing the five ministry leaders who represent a large portion (in total approx. 900 Million Evangelicals) of the body together for a historical event, which is undeniably God-orchestrated. . .

Please read and watch and listen as the Pope/Copeland draw-bridge between evangelicalism and Rome draws the charismatic sheep to the other side. Shocking, but it is undeniably here:

Jesus said that the last days would be preceded by: many false Christs that deceive many, wars and rumors of wars, and an increase in famines, pestilences and earthquakes. And that we would see a huge increase in false teaching along with a great falling away by those who claim to be committed Christians; true followers of Jesus.
